How to Remove Hair Dye Stains from Surfaces
Be careful with the below methods. Don't be an ass... safety first! Also, you don't want to ruin your furniture or stuff, so make sure you choose the best method for that material. We won't spell it out for you, but use some common sense.
- Use a bathroom cleaner with bleach (or straight bleach) and just wipe until clean.
- Wipe with a magic eraser.
- Mix toothpaste and warm water and gently rub the stain out with a cloth
- Mix baking soda and dish soap (equal parts) and rub with cloth
- Wipe stain with rubbing alcohol
How to remove hair dye from skin
To prevent dye from getting on your skin in the first place, you can use a barrier cream, like vaseline. If you don't like the oily feeling, and decide to do it without it, here's a few ways to clean up the spots.
- Use a professional hair colour remover
- Use (equal parts) of baking soda and dish soap and rub in with your fingers or a soft tooth brush
- Use a soft toothbrush with tooth paste (yes, really)
- Rub with micellar water on some cotton
- Wipe using makeup wipes
- You can use rubbing alcohol, but be aware, this dries the skin
How to remove hair colour from your nails
Don't be a dummy and use gloves. But, if your nails get coloured, you can use regular nail polish remover. It may take a few times, but it should come out. Or just paint over them!
